Yup, I am one of those Christians that believe in the whole bible (or at least that is a goal of mine). Really, I guess, I look a little like my Father; I tend to protect the ones I love. Against popular belief, life is not all about turning the other cheek. Yes, we can walk away a good percentage of the time. However, there is a time to stand up for what is right. Love is kind, love also protects its household from evil. Until evil is no more, we need a strong military.

Real estate is selling; gear is selling! Our prosperity is totally dependent on the way we believe and what we do with those beliefs. We can wake up thinking we have lost the fight or we can wake up thinking we have the victory. Those who have a defeated mindset will say, "here we go again, look at what is happening to me (God is allowing this)." This mindset is passive and inhibits the very actions necessary to become a victor. However, those with a winning, renewed mindset say, "let's conquer" and then takes the actions necessary to do so. "I lay before you life and death, blessing and cursing...choose life." The decisions we make today do matter...

If it takes me to hear a need or a complaint to recognize that there is a need I can help others with...complain away. Recently, God spoke to me about protecting my vision. He said, "Protect your vision because your vision is my vision." He also said, "other individuals do not have the same vision, or they do not see what you see and hear." The moral of the story? He planted seed in our lives and sometimes people do not see the vision that He has given us. Sometimes they speak against it or even mock it based on what they see or hear. If we look at Joseph's story, sometimes the best move to make is to keep our vision to ourselves until the appointed time. When that appointed time comes...that is alright as well, because some did not see or hear Jesus' vision either. Stay close to Him and keep moving forward within that relationship. The vision will get brighter and clearer and others will start to see it as well.

We hear the beginning of Romans 8 a lot, how about the rest of the scripture? In some churches the only time you hear anything about good deeds or fruits is when it comes to the tithe. Seed time and harvest time is rarely mentioned outside the subject of finances even though the Bible is clear that the Word of God is also seed (Mark 4:14). I am not against first fruits or paying of tithes; however, I am against picking and choosing scripture. To tell people that everything is going to be alright just because they pay their tithe is not biblical (period)

Romans 8:1–4 (NIV)1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. The Accuser

The accuser is at it...now many Christians will run without researching problems more. I guess we will let the national media vote for us. The same media that barely reports when Christians are slaughtered throughout the world. Sometimes you just have to sit back and let your jaw hit the floor. Once you pickup your jaw, seeking Him brings more truth... Really...the accuser is not the problem; the lack of relationship with our Father is the main problem. If we were close to Him, the decisions would be much easier. Allow Him to speak to you even more because the decisions we make in the near future decide the future of this country. Are we with Him or not?

A scripture I ran past on many of occasions but never focused on it before. Matthew 18:35 (NIV)35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” Matthew 18:21–34 was a parable about unmerciful servant that did not have mercy on his fellow servant.

32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’

Be Wise

Cain is being accused of sexual harassment and other things as of lately. We believers need to be wise about these things. Certain people will do anything to win (lie, steal, cheat, etc...)because they are from their father, we must research and find the truth before we make any judgments. We also must consider the source of information. Believing everything we read, see, or hear is just foolishness. It is not about party any longer. It is our duty to vote with Christ until those rights are taken away or He comes back.

Who am I voting for? I have not made my final decision yet, but I am in prayer and I am watching.

Jesus does not look at the church's intentions (Revelation 1:17–3:22 "I know your works").

I am speaking to the Church, the ones that are His and made Jesus their Lord. How do we know them? By what they say? If they SAY, "I love you" is that the way we know them? No, by their fruits...

The thief's desire is to steal, kill, and destroy. It does not matter if it is at an individual basis or collective basis. His mission is the same. What matters to us is that we see the truth, believe it, and act on it. What is God's will? What is God's will for this nation? He wants to bless this country (think holy ground, think dominion) just like He wants to bless us individually (where we stand, He stands). There is nothing in the bible that says America has to fall; will we win if God's America is no more? Of course we will prevail; however, it will become far more difficult to preach the good news. With that said, I would rather stop the thief in his tracks--for Christ's sake.

The world and Satan himself is trying to steal the light from this country. The world and Satan is trying to steal the light of Israel. I pray that this once great nation will stand with Israel until the end of time. If not, I will gladly move... I am praying that we are not too late...Agree with me please...Satan wants the blessing that brought so many to Christ. Yes, the people in this country...Name a country that has had such an impact for Christ? Name it!? Many from this country have supplied leaders with funds to reach the world for Christ! These people do not shout it out loud. Satan is tricking even some of the elect...Look at the facts! What country gives more for Christ!? Agree with me, pray for this country. Pray for eyes to be opened! We will know them by their fruits! Yes, their deeds! Who preaches Christ? Who lives for Christ? Who politics for Christ? Faith and Love!

Do not be in faith to such a degree that you are not moved by the needs of others. Jesus was moved by compassion as well as faith. When He saw or heard about a need, He stopped and listened. We should be no different. All the law hangs on faith and love. Without either, we are not in the right place.

Confess 1. Admit or state that one has committed a crime or is at fault in some way...and then He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Matthew 5:6 (NIV)6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. *It is a good thing to know He is just and He will forgive us of our sins. Having a heart that is after Him is vital...notice scripture does not say, " those who thirsted" after righteousness...Thirst is in the present tense...Faith is now, thirsting is now... *

Leaders, Prove What is Right!

Like it or not, part of our call is to prove His will on earth (Romans 12:1–2). We are not going to prove anything if we look like the world, act like the world, or even have results like the world. Seeking Him and walking in the Spirit is not just about us, it is also about what others see. Jesus sanctified Himself and was obedient until death… for what purpose?

John 17:16–20 (NIV)16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

As we can see, He was thinking about us. We should have this same mindset when we enter ministry, leadership, or just want to witness His goodness to others. The goal, our focus, is to help other people through Him and His body. We must spend time with Him and learn from Him if we truly want His power to be seen through us. I will give you a perfect example of what I am talking about. I was walking to church from my car one morning and God was speaking to me about healing. He said, “how can my people believe for healing when my elders run to the doctors at the first sign of illness?” This really hit it home for me. Leadership should be an example and if they do not believe to follow scripture, God’s ways, or even know the basics how is the layman that listens to their messages going to know any different? We can say the Holy Spirit is at work, but we must also be truthful with ourselves. Do our churches walk in His power? Is His message being preached before our own opinions? The bible is clear, we must prove His will on earth and if we constantly walk in sin, walk out of love, or constantly lose our spiritual battles do people truly see His will on earth? One of the purposes to receive all that He has is to become a perfect light unto the world. I am not going to discuss being able to be perfect, that is not the topic here. The topic is, are people seeing who He really is through what they see in us or what we preach? That is the focus here. We must take sanctifying ourselves through Christ more seriously . Unbelievers lives depend on it as well as Christian’s quality of life. Is the entire burden on us? Of course not! However, what is the first and greatest commandment!?

Matthew 22:36–40 (NIV)36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Do we love Him? Do we love others enough to make the hard choices? This is something I had to ask myself today. I hope you will ask yourself that question as well.

Our Time

The greatest gifts are not free (yes, I said not free). Time with Yahweh. Time with our family. Time with friends. Time serving others. They all cost something, our time. What if Jesus was too busy to stop at the well? What if He was too busy to take the time out for the blind man? What if He was too busy to think about you? Our days can some times be hectic, sometimes we forget to smile or say hello. That is ok, sometimes we all miss the mark. However, someone might need to see that smile or that person that might be on the edge of bankruptcy might need that hug. What is the most important gift we can give others? Yup, our time. Never get too busy where the important things in life are missed.

Homosexuality knocks at the door. Murder knocks at the door. Lust knocks at the door. Evil knocks at the door. The door is Jesus Christ, all who humble themselves and submit to Yahweh is able to come in the way you are. However, do not try and change the door. The moment we say and allow these things to enter the door without true repentance is the moment we defile Him, His ways, and His name (on earth). We accept all, but we do not accept the world's ways. An "openly gay priest"? What is next, a priest that openly murders women? The truth must be preached without fear of rebuke! If I offend you, look up scripture and verify my words. If you are still offended, delete me from your bookmarks. Jesus loves all, but Jesus is not the one that needs to change.

The Christ

A Ray of Sonlight

I was driving home today and the weirdest thing happened… I got distracted… not by my rambling thoughts or plans, but by the sheer beauty of the sun rays shining through the clouds… and I’d regain focus only to find an even more beautiful picture up in the sky of even more awesome, brighter, magnificent rays shining through different clouds… If the truth were to be told, I’m not really sure how much of the road I paid attention to on my way home...

God has used light shining through clouds with me before… I get it… Light shining through darkness… the beauty of the light… imagery like nobody’s business… one cliché after another…

I read about my cousin’s baby, who was born prematurely, who is now 5lbs 9oz… he just had his feeding tube removed…

I think about a long-time family friend and his wife who, one heartbreak after another, are about to bring forth a daughter…

I look at my husband and each one of my precious children…

…and then I think about all the little things that have really gotten under my skin lately…

Man, have I been petty!

The clouds are so temporal… they are fleeting… observe how quickly they move and shift in the sky… yet they block our ability to see the sun… but there are these proofs that the sun is still behind the clouds—the beautiful, magnificent rays… and sometimes even they aren’t there… sometimes there’s nothing but dark clouds all around… we never doubt that the sun rose that day, we simply recognize that cloud cover is thick and blocking view of the sun…

…and so it should be in our own lives with the temporal things that distract us and block our view of THE Son (and, of course, our Father). He is there… whether we see Him or not… whether we care to acknowledge Him or not… whether or not we see Him face to face, the proof of His magnificent rays through the temporal, or if the cloud cover is so thick that we have lack the clarity to see Him… He is there.

…and if you’re tempted to think that you’re alone or are feeling overwhelmed by the temporal, never forget that the cloud cover doesn’t dictate the moving of the sun… it can only hide it… but only for so long…

Traditions...

A Creator!

In September 2009 he suffered a stroke… and since then he’s been recovering… and I watched a video of him and his wife at church giving a testimony of sorts… Here, in front of their congregation, beside their pastor, the wife humbly jokes about everyone “wearing God out” with their prayers for Kerry (because he survived and began to thrive in his recovery). This comment jokingly brought about a comment from their pastor that they would have to have a conversation on the “theology” of that later… granted, it was seemingly in jest; however, my heart absolutely got crushed in some of the words that had followed—particularly when Kerry said that he was thankful to God for “giving” him his stroke… no joke, no laughter… pure sincerity… yet this was overlooked by the pastor… or was it?

When a young child dies, we hear accolades like, “God wanted another angel.” When a person becomes ill or wrought with disease, we hear “God is teaching me…” When disaster strikes, we hear, “God is judging…”

WAIT A MINUTE! With a God like that, WHO NEEDS AN ENEMY?!?! Have we forgotten that, in addition to Yahweh, there IS an adversary and that it is THIS adversary that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy?? Or did this all get lost in the mix of things?

I understand that it is difficult to discern the “why” sometimes. I cannot imagine facing a parent that just lost a young child and try to explain “why.” The garden and angel accolades are so much easier to recite, aren’t they?

If it’s not already been asserted, I don’t mind being the first… BLASPHEMY!

SHAME on the pastors that sit idly by allowing their good-hearted sheep to believe that EVIL is the work of Yahweh. SHAME on the pastors that spew this garbage from their pulpits. SHAME on the pastors that, in an effort to appear as if it is THEY that have all the answers, blaspheme the very God they proclaim to serve!!

Let me point out the obvious—if YOU are not an adversary of God’s, then YOU have no reason to think that He would lay any EVIL at your feet—not to test you, not to teach you, not to have another angel or flower in His pretty gardens in heaven. PERIOD.

I could go a step further, but I digress…

It’s time to get serious—and sometimes painfully honest—with ourselves and with each other. Let me surprise you for a moment… Did you know that Noah and I have gone through some serious trials and tribulations? Did you know that, more often than not, the problem was due to our faulty reasoning (or our reasoning without seeking God’s input—which in and of itself IS faulty!). Very few negative situations that we have faced were NOT because of us… There have been other times, though… times of sudden trauma—attacks straight from hell… Oh wait… or were they from heaven? Hmmm… Nope… I know who my enemy is and I know where his eternal destination is… sorry… Not my Daddy… My Daddy LOVES me… and when I ask Him for bread, he doesn’t give me a serpent instead… oh no… don’t talk bad about MY Daddy like that!!!

Despite the outright attacks on our lives, did you know that we still learned much from them? Perhaps it was God after all? OR—just maybe—ALL things (regardless of whether these things result from God, our decisions, or Satan) work together FOR OUR GOOD… Why? Because we love HIM (and vice-versa)… Interesting concept, eh?

So, how many people did Jesus Christ—the image of God—Yeshua—kill for His Daddy’s garden in heaven? How many people did He strike with terminal illness? How many people did He wreak absolute havoc in their lives? Search away… but not too long… because there were NO such instances… but He was the perfect imprint of God on this earth… and if God did it, then He should have, too…

I want to challenge anyone within the reading of this—begin to challenge this blasphemy… People get upset when others talk badly of their earthly moms… but it doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal if they totally LIE about the workings of our HEAVENLY Father. If we fail to challenge this blasphemy, then we’ll never collectively understand who our true enemy is—and how to fend off his attacks…

Your Actions are Important—Be Led by God Always

Christmastime—and recounting the Nativity story—reminds me of the importance of being led by God at all times.

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly (Matthew 1:18-19, NIV).

Allow the last sentence to really settle in. Joseph, a righteous man, facing his soon-to-be-wife’s pregnancy—not of his doing, was going to quietly divorce Mary so as to avoid her being publicly disgraced. This could be the start of quite a few life lessons, but I’d like to focus on the importance of God’s leading in every life situation.

I muse about how kind and gracious Joseph’s planned response really was. A response like this had to come from a kind and loving heart—and pure motivations. Most men would not have reacted in this manner.

The world would have justified a hostile or public reaction… yet he didn’t react that way.

The church would have justified his quiet dismissal of Mary… His heart was totally pure in the handling of this predicament.

However, each every situation and person that we encounter is unique. Pure intentions and seemingly righteous actions don’t always cut the mustard. We can have the best of intentions, plan to act in the manner we think is the most appropriate—even in light of scripture—and still be totally wrong. Case in point: Joseph.

Only our Heavenly Father knows all of the intricacies in the situations and people that we encounter in our lives. It is good to have the right intentions. But it is optimal if we are led by God in all things—isn’t that the ultimate difference between how Christ lived and how most Christians live (I only do the things that I see my Father do; I only say the things I hear my Father say)? Let’s not allow culture or (as right as it may seem) scriptural-based analysis of a situation get in the way of the leading of the Holy Spirit (now doesn’t *that* offend the religious mind?!).

Relationship is the key.

Every one of our actions has eternal consequence on countless others (think Joseph—or even “It’s a Wonderful Life”).

Be in tune with the Father always… hear and obey…

In light of this, consider the importance of reactions and obedience…
What if:
•…Joseph became so angry upon his finding out of Mary’s pregnancy that he openly retaliated (exposed her to public shame)?
•…Joseph decided *not* to obey the angel of the Lord and take Mary as his wife?
…just wondering =]

Higher Standard

Lost in His Stare

Call me an emotional sap if you will, but ever since having Gabby I’ve been making some observations.

I’ve noticed that she never lacks food, never lacks someone to change her diapers, to talk to her, hug her, hold her, play with her, etc… Gabriella never lacks and it is clear, from even this early of an age, that she is never concerned about not having her needs met. She lets us know when she needs something (if we didn’t already beat her to the punch) and her needs are met… and she’s not ashamed to let us know when she needs something, either… None of us would just sit around knowing that Gabriella has a need and simply watch.

Love acts.

I thought about how many of us are ashamed to admit that we have needs. We are raised to believe we can (and must) do everything ourselves. We live in a “self”- sufficient society. In short, we replace God with our own might. This mindset has permeated the church as well, but we add a sprinkling of seasoning and label it Christendom… we say that if you need something then all you have to do is get up, believe God, and then do it… all by yourself. Yet, I am reminded that I have not because I ask not. I am reminded that pride comes before a fall. I am reminded that we are called to walk beside others in God’s family and bear their burdens. I am reminded that even the birds’ needs are met because of our Father’s extreme love.

Do not misunderstand me—there *are* things we HAVE to do. We—as a vital necessity—must seek out God. We—as a vital necessity—must listen for His voice. We—as a vital necessity—must obey the things that He has laid forth for us to do. We were not designed to live the same way that we did before we were saved… We seek God and the power of His Holy Spirit to strengthen, empower, and equip us to conquer all of the forces of evil—in our own lives and in others’.

Sometimes our loving and striving to do well may seem in vain, but they never are… Just as I look into the eyes of our beloved daughter—our daughter growing so quickly—so beautifully—but still oh so dependent on us—so our Father looks at us. He loves us enough not to leave us the way He found us… and, as His hands and feet in this world, it then becomes our job to share His hope, love, and life-changing power to the world that lacks hope, love, and divine power.

• But I recognize that I cannot do everything myself.
• I recognize that I am not *supposed* to do everything myself.
• I have not because I ask not.
• My faith is not in my faith; rather, my faith is in the love that my Father has for me.
• I am supposed to hear and obey.
• He loves me so much that He looks adoringly at me and would do anything in His power to help me...
• …and that I am supposed to share that same adoring look to my fellow man and do all in my power to help them—to bear their burdens…

…and just as Gabby gets lost looking in my eyes at my adoring stare, so I get consumed in the loving adoration of my Father… and I yearn to help Him any way that I can… and if I do this, and others who are called by His name do the same, then there will be no lack because we are doing His work—because as He is, so are we in this world.

"Give you" implies a gift given by the word of His grace."All" implies everyone that is sanctified; this includes Jesus and our Father.*

Meditating on His goodness,meditating on His image (who He really is!)

When God called us to be Holy (1 Peter 1:13–16), He made a way for us to be Holy and sanctified. We take this by faith, and then through the word of God (knowing and obeying) we become heirs according to the promise. One of the greatest mistakes we can make is to think that we just have to know scripture and then claim it for ourselves. The promises are not to be focused on, but they are to be remembered. He is our focus. It is through relationship with our Father, Son (His Word), and Holy Spirit that this process of becoming heirs takes place (Remember, it is a process). From the beginning God intended us to be made in His image. To be in the image that He intended, we must see Him for who He really is (1 John 3:1–3). Scripture defines who He really is. If we want nothing missing or broken from His image, we must seek after Him and love Him. We must know Him.

1 Peter 1:13–16(NKJV) Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

1 John 3:1–3(NKJV) Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Great Faith

Salvation for All

Freedom

John 15:12–17(NKJV)This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.

"Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one's life" This scripture is not just talking about laying our lives down for other people. This scripture is also talking about laying our lives down for Jesus. Is everyone a friend of Jesus; everyone can be. Later on Jesus says, "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you." This is the word of God talking-Jesus.

Once we give Him our hearts, we can love like Him (greater love has no one than this).

The greatest gift we can give Yahweh is our hearts; from this position, nothing will be impossible.

His Grace Saved Us; His Truth is Saving Us...

His grace saved us; His truth is saving us and setting us apart. Salvation, there are many forms. Being saved from Cancer is a form of His salvation. Being saved from sin is a form of salvation. Being saved from not forgiving others is a form of salvation. Being saved from poverty is a form of salvation.

When you first believed and took Jesus, you had to agree with the Word. You took action. Starting a business takes action. Being free from debt takes action. Preaching the good news takes action. Saying and confirming that you love someone takes action. Giving to a good cause takes action. Paying your tithes takes action. Loving Him takes action. Being successful takes action. Yes, we are saved by grace and His love, but overcoming in this world through Him takes action.

Jesus Comet?

A few years ago, God told me to put my arm up. He said, “Imagine your arm to be a comet” (yes, like Halley's Comet). “The comet represents the body of Christ. The fist is the head and your forearm is the tail. I want you to be the fist. The fist is those who believe in me and know me. The fist are the ones that believe in my promises and know I will fulfill them. Now look at your arm. These people believe in an image of me, but do not see me as I am. They also do not believe in my promises. Some of these believe in healing, yet they do not believe in prosperity. Others believe healing is not for them because they do not see me for who I am.” He told me to look at my fist and then look at the arm. I looked and He said, “you are the fist; you are the head and not the tail.”

He wants the same for you.

Head, not the Tail

God wants us to overcome our problems,not ignore them.If sin is a problem in our life, overcome it through the tools that God supplied. Start by stop making excuses and using scripture out of context. God wants His people to be the head, not the tail.

Every "in Christ" scripture eventually leads to a "we should" act a certain way scripture.

For example,

Romans 5:12–21(NKJV)Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
